We are now looking for a Multisite Maintenance Manager. This role will be responsible for the development, roll-out, support, tracking & optimization of preventive maintenance programs across multiple sites in Canada and the United Stated. In collaboration with the site leadership teams, this position will be a change agent to identify and bridge resource and training gaps. The candidate will work remotely at a location near a major airport, ensuring quick mobility to various sites as required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Multisite Maintenance Leadership: Lead the site maintenance teams in developing and supporting an effective maintenance program. Develop the knowledge and expertise of the maintenance technicians, planners and supervisors through targeted and planned training initiatives. Bridge with other functions and departments to foster knowledge sharing and ensure that the policies, best practices and internal guidelines are followed.
- Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Mastering: Cooperate with, and support sites to establish and maintain preventative maintenance logic, including list of critical equipment in SAP / S4Hanna ERP system. Develop tools and methods for robust predictive maintenance approach.
- Maintenance Execution: Contribute to identify maintenance capital investments and act as a technical resource on specific projects.
- Travel Requirements: Available for immediate travel between different sites, leveraging proximity to a major airport for efficient mobility. Preferably based out of one of the following four Kemira coagulants manufacturing locations: Baltimore, MD; East-Chicago, IN; Mojave, CA or Varennes, QC.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to industry safety standards and organizational policies.
- Reporting & Documentation: Provide timely reports to the Engineering Manager, maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including cross-functional teams, to ensure smooth implementation of maintenance programs and.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing insights to enhance machinery efficiency, safety, and project execution.

What you'll bring to the team:
- Degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial or chemical engineering, a minimum of 5 years of vocational technical training or combination of trade work (electrician, mechanic, welder) combined with recognized leadership experience in a similar industry or position.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in chemical manufacturing preferred
- Preferably more than 10 years of working experience in multiple professional manufacturing companies with a blend of internal and contractor based workforce.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with capacity to vulgarize and adapt the information for varying audiences.
- Good mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs is an asset.
- Good computer skills
- Strong experience in SAP or use of other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) required
- Experience in use of modern tools such as laser alignment, vibration data collection and other condition monitoring sensors.
- Maintenance and asset site leadership experience using world class asset management and measurement systems
- Working knowledge of OSHA process safety management principles and requirements
