The Merchant Monitoring Manager is responsible for the operational efficiency and efficacy of the manager’s assigned program, developing its staff, and assisting with client relationship management. This person will collaborate with manager peers within their designated program to oversee the day-to-day operations of their operational team, and will work closely with analysts to identify, prioritize, and support the implementation of team process improvements. The Manager works closely with the Senior Manager in informing strategic decisions, operational planning, and resourcing needs. 


What You’ll Do


+ Manage day-to-day operations of an analyst team


+ Hire, coach, and develop employees


+ Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to support new sales / business initiatives, scoping of products and services, and requesting changes to tooling and other resources for LegitScript’s client portfolio as assigned


+ Develop measurements, KPIs, and/or operational goals to assess the health of the team or designated area of operations; ensure KPIs and/or goals are on track


+ Assess operational efficiency and efficacy and make recommendations for improvement


+ Assess, prioritize, and allocate resources amongst clients and deliverables


+ Attend and participate in client touch-base, ad hoc, or business review meetings and/or presentations as needed


+ Draft, edit, improve, and approve client deliverables including reports, memos, presentations, etc.


+ Communicate with clients regularly, respond to client escalations, and lead client-facing meetings in collaboration with Account Managers 


+ Oversee client relationships and ensure client needs are met

What You’ll Bring


+ Significant experience in payments risk and/or compliance roles


+ Strong people leadership skills, passion for developing staff


+ Ability to work in a dynamic market with a continuous improvement mindset 


+ Experience and/or desire for directly interacting with clients, fostering long-lasting partnerships


+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to lead discussions in group settings and 1:1


+ Experience identifying inefficiencies and working with others to prioritize and resolve these through, for example, process improvement or training


+ Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, and the ability to use good judgment and make sound independent decisions


+ Experience leading, or playing a key role as part of, a team through a period of growth (in terms of team size and/or client base)


+ Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members, along with willingness to set and maintain high standards of performance


+ Fluency in English, both orally and in written communication 


+ Proficiency in professional writing and experience reviewing and editing written materials


Highly Desired


+ 4-year college or university degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience


+ Comfortable with potential exposure to offensive material (adult related content, weapons, etc)


+ Experience training or developing others


+ Proficiency using MacOS


+ Proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Etc) and Microsoft Excel


+ Experience with tools like Salesforce and Jira
