JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for managing the Material Disposition and Warehouse personnel. This includes coordinating receiving, warehousing, distribution, and installation of owner furnished equipment and furnishings for all FP&C capital projects. Also responsible for the management of inventory, including receiving and distributing furnishings for potential redeployment to department's needs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree in Business Administration preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Current North Carolina driver's license.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Adheres to the general Medical Center standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building. 2. Manages Material Disposition and Warehouse Staff. 3. Provides leadership for equipment installation. 4. Leads ambulatory clinic equipment transitions. Participates in pre-acquisition walk through, determines appropriate equipment needs and facilitates sourcing of equipment. 5. Maintains budgetary responsibility for the Materials Disposition and Warehouse departments, including accountability for all variances and providing routine updates to leadership on budget status and performance to goals. 6. Develops specific equipment standards for projects by categories such as inpatient and outpatient services, diagnostic and treatment services and research laboratories. 7. Manages and oversees all moves associated with Facilities Planning & Construction projects. 8. Follows established Medical Center and department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines, including adherence to the Code of Conduct and Compliance Plan. Practices a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality. 9. Works proactively with external resources to effectively and efficiently dispose of medical center assets to maximize return on investments. Identifies appropriate external partners and fosters strong partnerships to keep open lines of communications. 10. Works closely with Asset Management, Finance to ensure the appropriate disposal of assets and proper documentation. Works closely with Asset Management, Clinical Engineering when applicable to ensure the appropriate assets are identified for disposal. 11. Provides and oversees move and installation services for departmental relocations that are not part of a capital project.
