Valence Consulting is working with a cutting-edge healthcare institution in their search for a dynamic and knowledgeable Laboratory Management Professional.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry), Medical Technology, or Clinical Lab Science.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of accrediting agencies, especially The Joint Commission and College of American Pathologists.
- Prior experience in Hematology lab.
Job Description:
- Oversee and provide leadership to multiple sub-specialty sections of the Laboratory.
- Assume full responsibility for all laboratory staff actions in their respective section.
- Champion a compliant and quality-focused laboratory environment.
- Provide 24/7 call coverage and contribute to the department's strategic planning.
- Take fiscal responsibility for section oversights including budget preparation, staffing expenses, and revenue management.
- Contribute to departmental fiscal goals and update equipment maintenance agreements.
Other Qualifications:
- Certification by ASCP, NCA, or an equivalent agency as a Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Technician, or specialty certification is highly preferred.
- Supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory is a plus.
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential.
- In-depth scientific understanding of laboratory procedures and methodologies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
