About the role:

The Manager - Human Resources implements HR strategies aligned with business objectives, provides guidance on HR policies and practices, and fosters a culture of employee engagement and development.
What you will do:

  • Collaborate with management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Align HR policies and programs for their business unit or region which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Act as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead team of HR professionals to collaborate effectively with other Centers of Excellence and serve as thought leaders to the business and HR.

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Demonstrates strong foundation of business fundamentals, measurement, and business finance.
  • Develops business cases for own function; reviews and critiques cases for other functions.


Global Perspective: Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply global perspectives appropriately in a wide range of situations.
Level Working Knowledge: 

  • Obtains information regarding operational issues of other countries when making business decisions.
  • Assesses key legal, regulatory, and financial issues specific to a particular country.


Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Level Extensive Experience: 

  • Differentiates assumptions, perspectives, and historical frameworks.
  • Evaluates past decisions for insights to improve decision-making process.
  • Assesses and validates decision options and points and predicts their potential impact.
  • Advises others in analyzing and synthesizing relevant data and assessing alternatives.
  • Uses effective decision-making approaches such as consultative, command, or consensus.


Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
Level Extensive Experience: 

  • Achieves influence and impact even when holding a position contrary to the majority.
  • Discards examples of persuasive arguments lacking substance or impact.
  • Leads and presents collaborative assessments that persuasively influence decision makers.
  • Determines and leverages the decision-making style of the individual or group being influenced.

Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
Level Working Knowledge: 

  • Utilizes an appropriate style of leadership: autocratic, democratic, laissez-faire/free rein, etc.
  • Utilizes positive reinforcement to motivate & attain desired behaviors; increases productivity.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities: intelligence, dominance, persistence, integrity, confidence.
  • Employs leadership theories, such as contingency and transactional, and associated techniques.
  • Manages own behaviors during interactions, such as feedback giving, to shape workplace events.


Human Resources Consulting: Knowledge of HR approaches, tools and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives.
Level Extensive Experience: 

  • Evaluates HR solutions provided to management and advises on further improvement plans.
  • Delegates line management support quickly and effectively for HR issues.
  • Manages multiple HR projects and diverse consulting relationships.
  • Recommends a variety of HR consulting models as appropriate to an engagement.
     

Differentiated candidates will have demonstrated experience:

  • Provides HUMAN RESOURCES coaching and consulting with senior leadership of a multinational organization;
  • Holding responsibility for a work unit of professional employees (including providing training, developing, and mentoring); as well as production level employees
  • Conducting employee investigations and consulting with senior leaders; and
  • Leveraging data and analytical tools (Power BI dashboards, Tableau, Pivot Tables) in support & furtherance of company business objectives.
