Essential Functions:
- Manage the operational, financial and/or personnel activities of University of Missouri Health Care building/facilities operations. Provide input to long-term plans and strategies for the organization, assess current and future needs use judgment to identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational problems.
- Responsible for managing the strategic operations of hospital facilities to ensure that operations, maintenance, and vendor management standards are met in a cost-effective, safe, and efficient manner.
- Ensure that the hospital remains in compliance with all regulatory agencies, including DNV, NFPA, CMS, and the Department of Health.
- Plan, establish, and coordinate Facilities Department policies and procedures, including communication hand-offs and work order management; provide clarity and direction to policies/procedures in oral and written communication.
- Manage visibly and communicate effectively with senior leadership, direct reports, and internal skilled trades personnel.
- May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical or electrical technology, building construction, engineering, architecture or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
Five (5) years of supervisory experience in BUILDING OPERATIONS.
Preferred Qualifications:
Eight (8) years of experience in a similarly complex healthcare environment.
Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) by the American Hospital Association (AHA) within nine (9) months.
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
