Manager, Financial Analysis (Card Finance)
The Customer Channels team within Card Finance is seeking a Manager, Financial Analysis to join our team. In this role you will work directly with business leaders of our Servicing Strategy, Customer Experience & Advocacy, and Channels Associate Experience teams, which are currently focused on re-imagination of our customer and associate experiences. Responsibilities will include managing the processes of the financial forecasts / annual operating plan, developing methodologies and processes that provide transparency of costs and cost drivers to our business partners. The groups, and your role, will partner heavily with other areas of Customer Channels and Channels Finance as we work collectively towards common goals.
In addition, you will be responsible for internal and executive reporting & analysis for the consolidated Customer Channels financial picture, providing the opportunity to engage with Lines of Business across Domestic Card. A critical element of the role is partnering with all Lines of Business supported by the Customer Channels organization in OpEx problem solving, as we look to drive operating efficiencies throughout the Card business. This role requires strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills, combined with deep curiosity and a customer-focus in order to effectively:
- Conduct analysis and articulate outcomes, relevant insights and action plans
- Develop presentations to senior audiences to communicate insights and to influence business and financial outcomes
- Partner with business teams to assess the financial implications of ongoing and proposed new efforts to optimize business performance
- Foster trusted business partnerships
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities include:
- Ownership of budgeting and forecasting for areas of responsibility
- Deliver accurate and meaningful financial management analyses to enable our partners to deliver on their financial and business objectives; contribute to, and deliver, presentations to communicate results, outcomes and actions to senior audiences
- Provide transparency on costs and drivers, and clearly communicate risks and opportunities to budget targets
- Address and deliver on ad-hoc requests and special projects, often in an ambiguous environment
- Independently manage and prioritize workload
- Demonstrate a passion to learn and continuously develop traditional FP&A and technical skills
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 4 years' experience in Financial Analysis
- At least 4 years' experience with financial modeling
- At least 1 year of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's Degree in Finance
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- 6+ years' experience in Financial Analysis
- 6+ years' experience with financial modeling
- 3+ years' experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
- 1+ year of people management experience
- Experience in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, etc)
