Job description

As the Manager, External Reporting and Technical Accounting you will be responsible for managing the global consolidation of financial results and delivering reporting requirements.  You will provide value by evaluating and implementing global solutions for internal and External Reporting requirements.  You will ensure that key controls are maintained to certify accurate financial results are reported by the company.  Using your can-do, go-getter attitude, you’ll meet deadlines and new people.  You will engage with multiple levels of personnel throughout our company to get the job done.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Financial Reporting – In this role you’ll have a firm focus on contributing to the internal and external consolidated financial reporting processes, including the monthly BPC consolidation close and quarterly and annual delivery of SEC reporting requirements. 
  • Accounting Policies – Along with other members of the team, you’ll be responsible for maintain and updating the Company’s accounting policies as well as providing ongoing communication and training over the policies to other areas of the finance organization. 
  • Partnerships – We believe in collaboration!  You’ll interact with the regional area finance teams to help drive compliance with Kellogg accounting policies and ensure accurate financial results being reported, including consultations with area teams on new or complex areas of accounting. 

 

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance or a related field with significant related work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of highly complex accounting topics
  • Strong research and implementation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to collaborate and influence others.
  • Ability to work with multiple and changing priorities and specific time restraints, you must possess advanced analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills and be extremely detail orientated.
  • Like working with technology? We’re looking for someone proficient in Microsoft Office, BPC Consolidations, Workiva and other financial systems.
