Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Program Manager for Internal Operations & Communications at Apptio you will develop and manage the operations of how we communicate to our employees. A well-articulated and consistent communications plan is imperative to Apptio's culture and to provide our team with visibility, stability, and trust-this role will be a critical driver to developing the strategy, executing on a programmatized plan while also being flexible to deliver ad-hoc communications when necessary. You will write engaging and informative messages, build and manage a comprehensive plan for a global audience, coordinate with external and internal speakers, design compelling presentations, exercise creativity to drive engagement, and advise the Executive Leadership team on effective strategies to keep our employees engaged.
Responsibilities:
  • Operationalize communications internally by building and maintaining a global communications calendar to include emails, slack posts, meetings, webinars, etc.
  • Establish and drive a cohesive voice for executive internal communications
  • Develop, edit, and collaborate on content for a variety of internal channels (email, Slack, internal meetings, etc.)
  • Drive the agenda and presentation decks for company-wide meetings, partnering closely with executives
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and global IBM HR to ensure consistent messaging and voice
  • Demonstrate creativity and excellent judgment as you provide project management across employee communications
  • Incorporate meaningful employee recognition communications woven throughout the plan
Engage with and advise executives, helping them more effectively communicate across their teams in line with their leadership styl

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 5 plus years of experience creating internal communications in.a corporate environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and other tools.
  • Prior experience with creating presentations for executive level individuals in the organization.
  • Experience with Slack messages, email messaging, and other internal company communication methods.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • Bachelors in Communication, Marketing or similar discipline
  • Upbeat personality, friendly,
  • 2 Years using Powerpoint and creating corporate communication.
  • Experience in a company that creates products for external organizations specifically SaaS type company experience.

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
