GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Manager of Disaster Recovery Management is responsible for the overall design, implementation, and communication of the HCA IT Disaster Recovery plan. Ensures the security and resiliency of company data, databases, information systems, and technology meet the requirements set forth by IT Leadership.
- Business Process Analysis and Requirements Translation
Conduct research on current business process to define critical areas requiring Disaster Recovery coverage and translating those processes into technical requirements that will be addressed in the HCA IT Disaster Recovery plan.
- DR Process Management, Testing, and Documentation
Manage the overall IT Disaster Recovery plan, testing process, and documentation of all information related to DR including all procedures, communication, and training materials as required.
- Research on Disaster Recovery Technologies
Research new Disaster Recovery technologies and identify opportunities for HCA to improve and enhance their DR strategy.
- Project Management and implementation of key innovative and strategic initiatives
Lead and support IT strategic initiatives and projects on an as needed basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead the planning and implementation of HCA IT Disaster Recovery Plan.
2. Perform research on new DR technologies to identify improvement opportunities.
3. Project Management for IT strategic initiatives.
4. Perform all other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of DR principles, strategy, and technologies
- Strong leadership/interpersonal skills, excellent oral/written communication skills
- Strong organizational/planning skills
- Skilled in leading diverse groups to successful project implementation
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 7 years of experience in IT Disaster Recovery management
- Prior experience working with DR as a service provider (Sungard, Nutanix, Druva, etc.)
- Prior experience working with cloud-based DR solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Strong background in Project Management and IT Strategy Planning
Physical Requirements and Working Condition:
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
