What you'll do...
The Sam's Club Creative Studio team creates compelling experiences wherever we meet our members and associates-from our clubs, to their businesses, and to their homes. We creatively deliver impact for the web, apps, in-club experiences and associate-facing tools. As a Designer, you will help transform complex information and tasks into easy-to-use designs for our millions of members and associates. To do this, you'll need to think visually to communicate design concepts. You'll use your knowledge of the design process, in collaboration with other team members, to iterate multiple solutions and deliver compelling designs. You will be based in Bentonville, Arkansas reporting to the Associate Creative Director .
You'll make an impact by...
- Designing digital graphic solutions for Sam's Club projects : you'll communicate and collaborate with clients to conceptualize, prioritize, and execute marketing campaigns and solutions; assist in project planning and marketing design; create concepts for marketing projects; utilize design templates and solutions; monitor and evaluate graphic designs to ensure compliance with brand standards and guidelines; collaborate with the Design Team, Copy Team, other business areas (for example, seasonal campaigns, platforms) and agencies; identify design issues and resolve or escalating problems to management as appropriate.
- Supporting and maintaining the strategic alignment of design programs and assets : you'll maintain relationships with merchants, marketing, and cross-functional teams under the guidance of senior design management; participate in design critiques; respond to requests for design support; develop style guides; keep up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and the competitive landscape and understand the capabilities of company technologies (for example, platform, marketing, mobile, social).
- Coordinating, completing and overseeing job-related activities and assignments : you'll develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders; support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identify and communicate goals and objectives; build accountability for and measure progress in achieving results; identify and address improvement opportunities and demonstrate adaptability and promote continuous learning.

- You have strong visual design skills and an eye for detail
- You've designed compelling advertising experiences for large, customer-facing properties
- You have previous supplier or agency experience
- You're well versed in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
- You're familiar with HTML5
- You have a strong understanding of design theory and concepts to create effective visual communication with hierarchy and balance (typography, color, space, contrast)
- You work with design templates and patterns to create and maintain a scalable and consistent website
- You have the ability to produce great work in short timeframes and multi-task across different projects
- You possess superior communication skills in working with suppliers and agencies, are flexible, and show grace under pressure
- You express your design point of view and openly advocate for other team member's designs
- You're a creative problem solver who leans into collaboration to create delightful experiences
- You have a portfolio that demonstrates how you design to solve for both business requirements and customer needs
