Oversees the operation of Capital Health's Administrative Nursing Coordinators and Clinical Staffing office to provide seamless 24/7 coverage of all nursing units at both the Regional Medical Center and Hopewell Medical Center. Assumes the responsibility for patient care and hospital administrative functions on evening and night shifts. Collaborates with Nurse Managers, other department managers and/or ACNOs to ensure safe, quality care for all patients. Acts as resource person for patient care issues. Identifies problems and deficiencies and works to achieve change.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:Graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience:Five years Registered Nurse experience including three years of experience in a leadership role.
Other Credentials:AHA ACLS Instructor,AHA ACLS or must obtain within 6 months of hire date,AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider,Registered Nurse - NJ
Requires TNCC (or must obtain within 1 year of hire) AND 8 hours of Trauma related Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) contact hours annually if assigned to: RMC ICU/CCU, RMC Surgical Trauma Unit, RMC PACU, Emergency Department (all campuses)
Requires NIH Stroke Scale Certification (or must obtain by end of orientation) AND 8 hours of Stroke related Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) contact hours annually
4 hours of Stroke related Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) contact hours annually as a quality representative for stroke program
Knowledge and Skills:Strong management, interpersonal strong interpersonal, diplomatic and conflict management skills Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Training:Proficient in use of Microsoft office applications.
