This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day creation and execution of content across the New York Red Bulls suite of social media channels, including RBNY, RBNY II, RBNY Academy, Red Bull Arena and RBNY en Espanol. This individual will be responsible for driving fan growth and engagement on our social media channels that can directly translate to fan growth and engagement at Red Bull Arena, displaying a keen understanding of insights and analytics to make data-driven decisions. The Manager, Brand and Content will work directly with Sporting and RBNY players to develop the best team content to grow the New York Red Bulls Brand and fandom. They will work with MLS Digital to support league initiatives, Red Bull Soccer to support greater brand initiatives, and various internal stakeholders to support revenue growth, including Marketing Partnerships, Ticket Sales, and Member Services. This person will report to the Senior Manager, Brand and Content.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, create and publish posts across all major and emerging social media platforms
  • Collaborate with the creative team on the creation of content across the RBNY suite of social media handles
  • Assist with management of content calendar
  • Work directly with players to develop social media content
  • Report on analytics for social media channels on a regular basis
  • Manage Content internship program
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as the RBNY schedule dictates
  • Some travel to road matches and training camps will be required

Qualifications

3-5 years experience with content creation in the digital sports environment

A strong passion for and deep knowledge of soccer, particularly the MLS

Comprehensive understanding of existing and emerging social media platforms including, but not limited to, Instagram (Reels, Stories, Threads, Channels), TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, Snapchat, Reddit and Discord

Ability to plan and execute original content concepts based on organizational marketing tentpole and pop culture calendars

Excellent copywriting skills with a sharp eye for content capture. Basic design and photography/videography skills a plus.

Ability to make instant decisions and craft spotless social media posts in a fast-paced, live sports environment

Highly motivated and self-starting, demonstrating a passion for working as part of team and specifically with the Red Bulls

Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese highly preferred
