Summary:
The Manager of ASSIST serves as the management/leadership liaison to the ASSIST Programs. Primarily responsible for all aspects of ASSIST for Logan Health. Ensures exceptional customer service and solid understanding of State and Federal regulations and requirements to assure compliance.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Passionate about serving the needs of others. Positive attitude, person of integrity, mission-driven and self-directed.
- Minimum of two (2) year’s leadership experience is preferred. Understanding of leadership best practices and proactive team/individual development and conflict resolution.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Possess knowledge of Flathead Valley community resources and works collaboratively within the community to assist those recovering from illness.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, required. Must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to balance many competing demands.
- Must possess excellent decision-making as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Possess the ability to work independently as well as lead by example in a team environment.
- Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide variety of stakeholders. Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to planning preferred.
- Grant-writing experience preferred.
- Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and ability to learn other software as needed.
- Experience in building and supporting strong teamwork and collaborative, respectful communication.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the ASSIST Neighbors Helping Neighbors program, the ASSIST Center and Transportation program.
- Maintains a working knowledge of assigned staff functions to assure efficient back-up coverage as needed as applicable to assigned area.
- Responsible to ensure the support and maintenance of all ASSIST assets, including ASSIST vehicles.
- Responsible for the enhancement of ASSIST’s outreach by being active and visible in the community. Actively builds community relationships with referrers and service organizations to facilitate community-wide collaboration.
- Maintains official records, data, and documents to ensure compliance with all regulations. Develop policies and procedures for the various programs.
- Keeps the ASSIST Board fully informed on the condition of the organization and important factors influencing it. Schedules and maintains Board minutes, and ensures proper communication up to the Logan Health Medical Center Board. Publicizes the activities of the organizations, its services, programs, and goals.
- Works with the staff, accounting, and Board to prepare and manage the budget.
- Ensures that job descriptions are developed, performance evaluations are complete, and HR and LH practices are in place.
- Oversees the recruitment, interview process and hiring of all personnel, both paid staff and volunteers. Develops and maintains the orientation and training for Volunteers. Observes and obtains feedback concerning the performance of the ASSIST Volunteers.
- Encourages staff and volunteer development and education. Maintains a climate which attracts, retains, and motivates a diverse staff.
- Effectively communicates ASSIST standards as well as organization-wide objectives to employees by the utilization of staff meetings and other avenues of communication.
- Manages the ASSIST services for the ASSIST Center and oversees the development of a person-centered” Plan of Action” for referred patients.
- Develops the procedures for gathering necessary data of services provided. Supervises the accumulation of data and prepares reports as required.
