Manager, Application Development & Support
About the Role
As a Manager of Application Development & Support you will be collaborating with Business Owners to understand market demands, priorities, and overall product strategy. You will be maintaining up to date knowledge regarding Medicare and Medicaid insurance programs by applying quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Business Owners to understand the market demands, priorities, and overall product strategy.
- Maintain up to date knowledge regarding Medicare and Medicaid insurance programs by applying quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Research and analyze key changes in government health insurance programs like Medicaid, Medicare, and Child Health Insurance Program. Implement identified changes into the Eligibility and Enrollment determination policy.
- Establishing clear project sponsor and stakeholder expectations and engagement model to be managed throughout the project life cycle.
- Managing resources and internal and external cross-functional teams to communicate and set priorities to meet goals and objectives.
- Manage top-down oversight throughout the entire execution to ensure successful delivery in adherence stakeholder goals.
- Performs requirements analysis and test case design at project levels and establishes product roadmaps with engineering teams.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
- Evaluates client requirements and defects to recommend appropriate solutions.
- Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing scripts/ reports/procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
- Work with engineering and vendor teams to deliver timely, quality releases that provide high business value and exceed customer expectations.
- Create detailed specifications/requirements for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development team.
- Write user stories and establish acceptance criteria in collaboration with the team.
- Manage dependencies in and across sprints and releases.
- Work with the Agile team to manage and prioritize the backlog to ensure alignment with changing business needs.
- Partner with project managers on project budgets, scope, timelines, and project execution
- Manage third-party vendors and contracts.
Requirements
- Previous experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or Health Insurance preferred.
- Leadership and emotional intelligence skills
- Knowledge of Agile principles and process as well as waterfall methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Project management mindset and ability to work on multi-projects with constrains and inter-dependencies.
- Ability to influence cross-functional team without formal authority.
- Time management, resource organization and priority establishment skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with diplomacy and tact, including when responding to resistance
- Ability to work with an optimistic attitude both independently and as part of a team.

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $114,730 - $149,000.
