Pratt Abbott, Maine’s favorite dry cleaning and laundry company, has an immediate opening for someone to train as a Store Lead in Yarmouth. Your primary responsibilities will be ensuring an excellent customer experience and overseeing, training, and mentoring counter staff.

We offer generous benefits to full-time employees, including medical, vision, and dental insurance, 401K with company match, and paid time off. The store is open 8 am to 6 pm Monday- Friday with shortened hours of 8 am - 4 pm Saturday and 9 am - 2 pm Sunday.

Essential duties

• Oversee counter staff and help them achieve accuracy in company processes
• Address and resolve employee performance issues
• Arrange coverage for staff call-outs (covering yourself when needed)
• Train new counter staff and provide ongoing customer service training for all store employees
• Model regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
• Manage and resolve customer complaints
• Tracking store supplies and timely completion of orders

Qualifications

• Must have management experience, preferably in a customer-service-driven industry like retail or food service
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to cover shifts on short notice
• Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to motivate and encourage staff and resolve conflicts

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds
• Frequent use of a computer and other technology, including a point-of-service sales system, credit card machine, printer, and barcode scanner
