Management Analyst (Remote)

On the organizational chart, the position is situated in the Director's Office of the Business Operations Division. The division includes the departments of Procurement and Contract Services, Human Resources, Risk and Security Management, Cybersecurity, Conference Planning and Meeting Services, Document Services, Infrastructure Services, and Training and Development.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Perform highly advanced (senior-level) professional administrative and policy analysis work.
- Oversee and implement organizational studies and evaluations.
- Evaluate systems and procedures.
- Oversee work simplification studies.
- Evaluate operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
- Supervise the work of others on a project when authorized.
- Work under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:
- Develop and manage projects, implement change strategies and plans, and verify implementation.
- Advise management on agency studies, including legislative bill analysis, and track implementation of legislative-directed changes.
- Review and evaluate new or improved business and management practices and make recommendations, including work on process improvements and audit-related matters.
- Develop new or modifies existing administrative program policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
- Prepare, coordinate, and/or review data, operational and special reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
YOU QUALIFY WITH:
-Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration or a related field is generally preferred plus three years of experience in management analysis, organizational development, or methods and systems work.
-One year of full-time experience in management analysis, organizational development or methods and systems work may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of education.
-One year of full-time in-service experience classified as a Management Analyst III with regular status will satisfy the minimum qualifications.
YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:
- Experience with policy and procedure development and implementation in a state government entity.
- Experience with analyzing data and preparing executive level reports in a state government entity.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with various audiences both in verbally and in writing.
- Experience with legislative reporting and bill analysis.
- Experience with developing responses to auditor requests for information; preparing management responses to audit report issues, recommendations, or findings; and developing corrective action and implementation.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma Certification.
- Skills in advanced Microsoft office software beyond Word, Excel and Teams, e.g., Microsoft Project, Microsoft Sharepoint, and/or Microsoft PowerBI.
