The Mammographer will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. The Mammographer will be involved in the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate. the Mammographer will be knowledgeable regarding sterile technique and be dedicated to radiation safety. This position requires ability to give excellent customer service and patient care. Must be self-motivated and demonstrate ability to work within a team. This position mainly will report to the East Campus offsite but also rotates between sites when needed. Employee will do both Mammography and Diagnostic X-ray.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology;
2. Experience: One full year experience as a Mammographic Technologist preferred;
3. Licensure: Valid NYS radiology registration as required by law;
4. Certification: Registry by the ARRT, Mammography certification a plus; current BLS/CPR certification;
5. Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA - 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200 documented case numbers every 2 years.
Full time days, evening/weekend rotation as needed. position covers East Campus/Cortland locations.
