Reporting to the Director of Technology Services, the Major Incident Management Coordinator will be required to lead incident response efforts and communications. The role will require the candidate to write for various communications channels, which may include email, intranet, status pages, and communications calendars. This role is pivotal for maintaining open communication lines during incident response. Strong organization and written communication skills are needed as the position requires working cross functionally with all departments.
What you'll be doing
- Act as the primary point of contact for all Major Incidents, ensuring swift and effective communication with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with technical teams to gather accurate and timely information regarding incident status and potential resolution paths.
- Draft, refine, and distribute formal incident communications, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and a tone appropriate for high visibility communications.
- Manage and monitor communications channels to ensure all parties are informed and up to date.
- Lead post incident review meetings, ensuring lessons learned are documented and action items are assigned and tracked.
- Maintain and improve the incident communication protocol, ensuring it remains effective and meets the needs of the business.
- Other miscellaneous projects as assigned.
What you will need to be successful
- Ability to work both independently and with other teams and departments.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, English, communications, or equivalent work experience (4-6 years).
- Excellent formal written communication with the ability to craft custom messages for high visibility scenarios.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage stressful situations effectively.
- Prioritize and balance a variety of assignments simultaneously.
- Experience with on-call rotations and a willingness to participate as required.
- Project management and decision-making skills.
- SCRUM & Agile experience with the ability to lead agile ceremonies.

Salary Range$28.61 To $43.03 / hourBenefits & PerksThe compensation range describes the typical minimum or maximum base pay range for this position. The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. This position will be eligible for performance-based incentives as part of the total compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits including:
