Maintenance Trainee - 2Nd Shift

Position Overview

In this role, the Maintenance Associate is responsible for assistance with various maintenance related tasks within out high speed / high volume cold heading manufacturing facility, as part of a hands-on training plan to grow into a highly skilled maintenance technician.

**The hours of this position are from 4pm -2:30am with a night shift pay differential**

Main Responsibilities

· Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and repairs of cold heading, thread rolling, and other production and support equipment.

· Assist with fabrication of parts using mills, lathes, grinders, and other equipment.

· Assist with preventive maintenance tasks.

· Assist with building maintenance and repair tasks.

· Complete maintenance reports and other documentation

· Maintain inventory of in-house replacement parts for building, machines, and equipment.

· Assist with machinery installations and start-up activities.

· Communicate all problems and other work-related issues with supervisor.

· Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety and attendance requirements.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED, preferred.

· 1-2 years of maintenance mechanic experience in an industrial environment.

· Ability to weld and fabricate preferred.

· Basic understanding of electrical components and circuits

· Ability to read, understand and maintain records as required.

· Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to read and understand complex drawings and instructions.

· Ability to lift to 30 lbs.
