Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

• Responsible for completion of work orders for tasks related to the physical maintenance and repairs of the assigned buildings utilizing work order related software programs.
• Responsible for implementing routine physical improvements.
• Respond to emergency situations in accordance with departmental protocol.
• Assist Supervisor in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories, and logs.
• Implement, with Supervisor, a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logs.
• Assist with controlling expenses associated with the operation of the buildings.
• Communicate effectively to appropriate individual building status and changes.
• Adhere to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Perform preventive maintenance on Building systems.
• Act in a professional and courteous manner always with tenants, hospital client, co-workers, vendors, patients, etc.
• Utilize materials, supplies, tools, and other building property in a safe, productive manner.
• Ability to operate Energy Management and Life Safety systems.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Maintenance Technician Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required, technical school training in maintenance related courses is preferred.
• Medical office/commercial office building experience is preferred.
• Rotational on call availability
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
• Strong mathematics skills
• Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by applying proper body mechanics
• Willingness to work overtime on special projects as required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software.
• Have working knowledge of standard maintenance tools and experience in their proper use.

Maintenance Compensation Range: $26/hour - $29/hour

Full compensation package includes generous bonus and benefits program.

Offers made will be commensurate with experience.
