Job Title: Maintenance Technician
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician will take care of minor maintenance duties involving carpentry, painting, plumbing, minor electrical repairs, and other minor maintenance repairs to ensure that accounts are safely maintained. Will be responsible for repairing and maintaining cleaning equipment (vacuums, auto scrubbers, swing arm machines, etc.), mowers, tractors and snow equipment. Any tasks found to be beyond the scope of minor tasks are reported to management. Must have strong time management, problem solving skills, and a sense of urgency. This position reports to the Lead Service Technician.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs various preventative maintenance functions on equipment and machines.
- Must be able to work any shift, overtime and weekends.
- Completes work orders timely and completes required records and reports.
- Maintains tools and ensures they are in good working condition whether they are in the warehouse or on a TPG vehicle.
- Inspects and maintains equipment. Suggests improvements as needed. Reports questionable conditions.
- Performs minor building maintenance tasks like carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and other minor maintenance repairs as necessary
- Adhere to all applicable safety practices, procedure, and standards.
- Attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people's information.

- Other duties as assigned by management.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 to 3 years of experience in general maintenance and repair work. Trade License(s) a plus.
- Strong initiative, follow-up, desire to succeed, and a sense of urgency
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
- Basic computer skills
- Proficient skills in operating hand tools and power equipment
- Ability to work independently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs., unassisted.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.
- Vision abilities require close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
