WHAT WE MANUFACTURE:
JRUSA manufactures fiber out of cellulose, or wood pulp. Our broad customer base uses this cellulose as a filler, or filter to ensure purity and consistency in their products. We also manufacture fibers for the Pharmaceutical, Pet, and food industries.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Our maintenance positions include tasks such as installing, maintaining and repairing industrial equipment under the direction of the Maintenance Manager while contributing to a clean and safe work environment.
JRUSA is looking for dedicated and reliable employees who will get the job done safely and efficiently and contribute to the organization's overall success.
- Work independently, or within a group, to complete Maintenance tasks.
- Complete work using fundamental mechanical and electrical principles.
- Work within CMMS software to document work orders and maintain spare parts inventory.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems independently, both during normal shift and On-Call.
- Communicate to all departments within the organization.
- Work in a safe manner, following all relevant safety policies and procedures.
- Follow all established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications
- High School diploma.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machine Repair Tech., Millwright or Electrical Tech.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, 480V.
- Minimal proficiency in Microsoft and computer applications.
- Journeyman’s card or Associates degree in Maintenance Technology or similar field preferred.
- Strong self-motivation, trouble shooting skills and sense of urgency.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Interactions and Tools/Equipment Utilized in the Job
- Work with Production, QA, Maintenance and other departments as needed.
- Work with outside contractors as necessary to complete projects/tasks.
- Operate company vehicles as needed (lift trucks, man-lifts, company cars, etc.)
- Accurately and safely operate measurement equipment, meters and test devices.
- Utilize typical office equipment, i.e. computers, tablets, calculators, etc.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work from heights with the assistance of proper safety equipment.
- Job requires frequent walking, climbing stairs & ladders, and standing for long periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all temperatures.
