Maintenance Technician - Midnight Shift

The Molded Products Division of Windsor Mold Group is currently seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for our manufacturing operation in Saline MI.

The Molded Products Division is a full service supplier of interior and exterior injection molded plastic components and assemblies, providing innovative solutions for automotive plastics applications to original equipment manufacturers and their suppliers.

Maintenance technicians are responsible for performing a wide variety of tooling and maintenance functions requiring knowledge of manufacturing procedures, practices and standards for production tool maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician:

• Ability to work on midnight or afternoon shift, work weekends and overtime as required.
• Maintain preventative tooling maintenance programs and overall maintenance of our tooling systems and procedures.
• Ability to trouble shoot electrical equipment, hydraulics, mechanical and tooling. Ability to repair and replace components.
• Assist Tooling Engineer, as needed, with all tooling maintenance.
• Locates and secures local tool sources for tool and spare component requirements
• Maintains storage for spare components for hot runner systems.
• Request quotes and issue purchase orders for local tooling repair.

Education and Experience:

• 2 year (or higher) technical degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience with injection molding, tooling a strong plus
• Experience with OEM Problem Solving Disciplines and Systems an asset
• Understanding of mold build and repair costing
• Blue Print Reading with knowledge of GD&T required
