JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician
JOB TYPE: Full Time
LOCATION: Lakewood, NJ
We are a high-volume manufacturer of Closet Systems serving the Multi-Family and Direct Customer market.
Components are created from melamine surfaced board material.
All machining needed for the components are created on highly productive panel processing equipment.
Product is packed and shipped to order.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Maintenance Technician will provide Maintenance/Repair, and Preventative Maintenance of equipment and other projects as assigned by Management.
Maintenance Technician will report to Production Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repair of equipment which has failed during production
- Provide preventative maintenance on a defined schedule as described by equipment manufacturers
- Work with production to improve machinery performance as required
- Ensure all safety devices on equipment are operational
- Work with Management to define an appropriate level of recommended spare parts on hand
- Secure and maintain tools needed for the job
- Assist with spare part inventory and control
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
High School Preferred
Experience:
Must have prior experience with production equipment repair and installation.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Good mechanical skills with high production equipment
- Compressed air system skills
- Electrical wiring abilities including inverter and mechanical systems
- Experience with PLC system including “Soft” PLC technology
- Computer system experience
- Robot and printing equipment experience a plus
- Desire to work extra hours when required
- Capable of working with outside supplier service Technicians
- Ability to install new systems
- Spanish language fluency a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
