Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Perform electromechanical repair of equipment with multi-functional use. Perform complex equipment analysis and repairs. Perform comprehensive evaluation of equipment with sensors, programmers, and electromechanical execution of functions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Makes preventative maintenance checks and inspections as required and on time.
- Assures that proper documentation is filled out and spare parts are accurately maintained and identified to provide rapid response to problems.
- Evaluate equipment malfunctions with a sense of urgency to minimize downtime.
- Modify equipment as necessary to improve safety, quality, productivity and reliability.
- Perform tasks in a quality fashion by meeting or exceeding the internal customers' requirements.
- Ability to perform welding and metal fabrication duties.
- Follows and promotes on the job safety expectations. (eyes, ears and L.O.T.O.)
- Maintains proper housekeeping expectations.
- Tries out equipment after repair and leaves it and the area in a clean safe condition.
- Train operators on the proper use of equipment.
- Provides a systematical approach to trouble shoot and repair dies, fixtures, electrical and mechanical production equipment.
- Ability to utilize a personal computer (PC) based maintenance management system.
- Ability to plan, layout and construct basic production equipment or combine processes.
- Read and understand essential ladder logic diagrams.
- Acts as lead person for Maintenance Tech I and II personnel
- Kronos timekeeping
- General project direction
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two year technical training degree in pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic circuits is required. Prefer to have specialized training and minimum of two years work experience in PLC and electro-mechanical trouble shooting. Minimum of six years of equivalent work experience and/or OJT is acceptable.
- Reading and writing skills are essential. Ability to read and comprehend simple correspondence. Ability to process specified instructions.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- PLC software experience preferred.
