SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing building maintenance and supporting the mechanical and limited electrical and HVAC needs of the facility to prevent unplanned downtime. Welding and fabrication skills will be utilized to manufacture frames and equipment needed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (*Essential Duties)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Complete preventative maintenance on HVAC systems throughout the facility.
- Conduct troubleshooting for system failures.
- Complete repairs on HVAC systems as required.
- Weld and fabricate test bench frames by use of ARC and MIG welding.
- Weld and fabricate required fixtures.
- Operate Oxygen/Acetylene torch.
- Operate plasma torch.
- Operate forklift when required.
- Complete scheduled test bench maintenance.
- Complete required repairs on equipment.
- Complete facility repairs as needed.
- Operate hand and power tools.
- Follow 6S concepts while completing task.
- Perform General facility maintenance.
- Complete basic carpentry and painting task.
- Complete general upkeep functions throughout the company.
- Document maintenance records of all work orders performed.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's degree
- 3+ years of maintenance experience
- OR an additional 2 years specific work experience in lieu of degree.
- Basic computer operating skills required (Word, Excel).
- Basic knowledge and safety of electrical components required.
- High mechanical aptitude.
- HVAC - EPA Certification required.
- 1-2 years of HVAC experience required.
- 1-2 years of MIG and ARC welding experience required.
- Be proficient in writing and communication skills.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-2 Electrical experience preferred (Residential or Commercial).
