Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team at the Industrial Power Systems Division in Seguin, Texas, where we're seeking a talented Maintenance Technician III to play a crucial role in maintaining our cutting-edge facility and equipment supporting the production of Caterpillar diesel engines. As a key member of our team, you'll not only perform preventative and corrective maintenance but also have the exciting opportunity to mentor and guide less experienced technicians. You'll be at the forefront, responding to operational calls, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues with assembly systems and equipment. Reporting to maintenance supervisors and section managers, you'll work collaboratively to ensure we meet and exceed customer expectations while driving company success.
What you will do:
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production, material-handling, and high-tech automated equipment.
- Respond to operational calls for troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with assembly systems and equipment.
- Provide professional development and on-the-job training to level 1 & 2 Maintenance Technicians.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical assembly, and robotic equipment.
- Install and terminate communication cabling.
- Work at heights up to 30 feet utilizing a manlift.
- Exercise knowledge of industrial electricity, including single-phase and three-phase power, motors, protective devices, and photo sensors.
- Respond to service requests independently and without interrupting production operations.
- Coordinate activities within company guidelines and policies to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
- Collaborate with maintenance team to maximize uptime of production facilities.
- Monitor maintenance upkeep checklists to ensure efficient equipment operation.
- Complete CMMS work order documentation and assist with Continuous Improvement Cards.
- Document and correct safety issues to maintain a safe work environment.
- Work cooperatively with various departments including engineering, operations, logistics, quality, and environmental health and safety.
What you will have:
- 2-5 years of experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical/electronic production and robotic equipment.
- 2 years of experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Familiarity with PM procedures and mastery of production facility systems.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with electronics such as PLCs, photo sensors, servo drives, etc.
- Strong organizational, computer (Word and Excel), and basic math skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, lifting, etc.
What would make you a top candidate:
- Advanced knowledge in AC/DC theory, electrical safety, and National Electric Code.
- Experience with CNC and conventional metal-removal equipment.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar policies and procedures.
- Experience working in a team environment and willingness to mentor less experienced technicians.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive operations
- Ability to lift at least 20lbs. and up to 80lbs.

Additional Information:
- $26.50/hour starting payrate
- Monday-Thursday: 6:00am-4:30pm
- Overtime as required
