About this role:
The Maintenance Technician I perform corrective and preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipment. This position is expected to assist other Maintenance Technicians while learning to work more independently. The level of the Maintenance Technician role will be dependent on factors such as candidate experience and certification level.
What you will do:
- Must show proficiency in all maintenance related job functions including but not limited to corrective and preventive maintenance
- Demonstrates mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Follow proper safety guidelines including point of work risk assessment and lockout/tagout
- Must have knowledge of Critical Safety Devices and functionality
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install parts on machines and equipment
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting
- Demonstrate understanding of blueprints, Original Equipment Manufacturer manuals, Bill of Materials and Standard Operating Procedures
- Knowledge and proper use of hand and power tools
- Performs visual inspections and maintenance of production equipment
- Tests machinery and equipment after maintenance has been completed
- Understands the basic operating principles of all Mills, Lathes, Grinders, Saws, Presses, Bridge and Jib cranes, including basic troubleshooting and sequence of operation
- Performs other duties as assigned
What you will have:
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Additional Information :
- Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00am – 3:30pm with overtime as needed
