Maintenance Technician

Technician’s Responsibilities:

· Responsibilities includes the repair, preventative maintenance, upgrade, and test of all the electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Duties:

• Provide support to the production team to ensure smooth operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment problems.
• Ensure assigned maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Complete accurate repair reports in the CMMS software.
• Help maintain the inventory of spare parts using the CMMS software
• Keep maintenance Supervisor informed of any issues or potential problems with equipment or systems
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of chemical plant systems such as steam, compressed air, cooling water, pipes, valves, pumps, gauges, and motors.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to complete assigned preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder logic.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Availability to work a 24/7 rotating shift schedule

Education and Experience:

• 3 years electro-mechanical maintenance experience in a high-volume manufacturing/industrial environment or an associate degree in engineering.
• Experience with Programable Logic Controllers (PLC) and/ or Distributive Control Systems (DCS) preferred.
• Experience with 3-phase 480/208 VAC, single-phase 208/120 VAC, and 24 VDC systems.
• Instrumentation and calibration experience desired.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able climb stairs and ladders to access production equipment.
• Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
• Must be able to lift 55 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $27.50 per hour
