Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Director of Operations and coordinate and/or perform tasks related to ongoing indoor and outdoor property upkeep, preventative maintenance efforts, prioritization and completion of work orders and addressing safety concerns across Lazarus House Ministries (LHM).
Position Description:
- Identifies and performs LHM-wide preventative maintenance and general repairs necessary to provide a safe and functional environment.
- Personally respond to requests or facilitate the work of contracted service providers for on-call emergency maintenance as well as work orders for routine as well as preventative maintenance of all equipment systems and fixtures in buildings and on the grounds of LHM properties.
- Repair or replace in-unit and common area fixtures, lighting, filters, fans, paint, etc. as needed to maintain property functionality and appearance.
- Resolve minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC issues and/or facilitate services from licensed contractors to resolve larger and/or more complex issues in any of these areas.
- Perform and assist staff and/or volunteers with ongoing property upkeep efforts, including groundskeeping, trash removal, snow removal (by shovel and/or machine) and moving projects.
- Furniture assembly and/or repair.
- Document and track work orders and contractor service request updates, closures and pending items.
- Identify, correct or create a plan to correct hazardous property conditions and report to Director of Operations.
- Participate in vendor/subcontractor selection by researching pricing, obtaining quotes and viewing comparable completed projects and/or checking references.
- Collaborate with Operations Assistant to ensure up-to-date knowledge of permits required to successfully operate all LHM property and programs and ensure any and all permits are acquired and renewed within proper time limits.
- Assist Director of Operations in resolution of contractor work quality and/or billing issues as appropriate.
- Act as a valued member of the safety committee to recommend, implement, track safety incidents and maintain safety initiatives and emergency protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
