- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and electronic equipment
- Program and trouble shoot PLCs
- Read, comprehend, and understand electrical schematic diagrams, ladder logic diagrams, operation and/or repair manuals
- Operate test equipment including but not limited to multi-meters, amp-probes, meg-ohm meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Install and troubleshoot equipment including programmable logic controllers, servo and/or stepper motors, variable frequency drives, DC drives, process controllers, smart relays, encoders, proximity switches, sensors, etc.
- Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic, mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, principles of operation, and application of electronic equipment
- Document jobs completed including repairs made, symptoms identified, problems and causes identified, etc.
- Work with supervisors, operators, and mechanics to diagnose problems and repair equipment
- Installs and repairs electrical components such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
- Must contact and work with OEM Technicians (tech support) on machine issues
- Be familiar with ARC Flash safety regulations and requirements
- Provide training to others as needed
- Comply with call-in program
- Support other aspects of the maintenance department as needed
- Follows safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines
- Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions
- Maintain a clean work environment including the machine, floors, desks, and fans in accordance with our 5S system
Regular attendance and reporting for work on time are necessary requirements as is availability for overtime work if necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Exposure to a dusty atmosphere with loud noise, which may require both eye and ear protection in some areas. Moving mechanical parts will also be exposed; safety guards have been put in place for the safety of all Team members but during set up, if a machine must be broken down and reassembled to complete the next job, questions regarding such operation should be directed to your supervisor as they arise.
