Company Background:
Our client, a major employer in the area, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to be part of its team in its North American operations.
Description:
- Candidate will be responsible for successfully maintaining, repairing and supporting:
- Horiba Emission analytical equipment in accordance with EPA CFR procedures.
- Particulate Measurement (PM) systems (tunnel, dilution air filtration system, PM filter weighing robot and balance).
- VT and ORVR shed enclosures in accordance with EPA CFR procedures.
- Chassis, engine, and transmission dynamometers.
Primary responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled maintenance on dynamometer and analytical measurement systems per CFR 1066, including:
- Horiba MEXA 7000 series and MEXA-ONE analyzers
- Horiba/MAHA/Meiden 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive chassis dynamometers
- Meiden engine and Transmission dynos
- Client canister loaders
- Perform repair and support requests to ensure test cell readiness.
- Manage ambient PM background process through measurement, control, and reporting.
- Create and manage chassis dynamometer drive traces files.
- Manage calibration gas bottle inventory; swap bottles as necessary.
- Compile data and report results.
- Communicate maintenance and test cell status to stakeholders using reporting tools.
- Complete Job Safety Analysis for Non-Standard Work.
- Create Standard Work Processes (SWPs).
- Support facility projects as needed.
- Perform other duties related to Powertrain testing.
- Follow established safety procedures.
Requirements:
Requirements
- 2 + years' experience in automotive emissions equipment maintenance and calibration in accordance with EPA CFR Title 40 Parts 86, 1065, and 1066 procedures.
- 2+ years' experience with Horiba MEXA 7000 and/or MEXA-ONE series analyzers.
- 2+ years' Experience with Chassis Dynamometer Maintenance.
- Strong evaluation and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Self-starter, can work independently with minimal supervision and contribute within a team atmosphere.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work overtime or off-shift as required.
