Duties and Responsibilities
- Fundamental knowledge of machine maintenance.
- Work in a safe and responsible manner by following all facility safety procedures, including Lock Out/Tag Out methodology.
- Follow Preventative Maintenance (PM) Schedule and procedures to perform PM’s on facilities and equipment to minimize or eliminate unscheduled down time.
- Regularly check facilities and equipment for conditions that may need attention and take appropriate action to correct problems.
- Make repairs to facilities and equipment as directed by the facility engineer or facility leadership.
- Help in the effort to maintain campus grounds related to safety and appearance.
- Operate a variety of standard power tools, hand tools and equipment used in building maintenance and repair activities on a regular basis.
- · Use Maintenance tracking system to account for maintenance activities and to communicate status of maintenance effort to factory leadership.
- · Execute planned engineering changes, upgrades or retrofits to equipment.
- · Schedule work with 3rd party contractors for special projects and maintenance items.
- · All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Desired
- Excellent Mechanical aptitude and General troubleshooting ability.
- Knowledge and experience with Preventative and Predictive maintenance methodologies.
- Ability to operate power tools and equipment, including forklifts and JLG “type” lifts when required.
- Skilled with a broad range of facility maintenance methods, such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and other associates both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Ability to recognize and respond to unsafe working conditions.
- Basic data entry and/or word processing skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, parts diagrams and engineering drawings, and to use a multimeter.
- Use basic metrological instruments such as calipers.
- Familiarity with common industrial automation components such as VFDs, solenoids, and pneumatic fittings.
Special Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested by Supervisor.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs, kneel, crouch and stand for prolonged periods.
- 3 years’ experience in equipment maintenance role.
- Occasional travel and willingness to work flexible hours.
Environment
- Work is normally performed in a warehouse environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
