Volt is immediately hiring for Maintenance Technician in Monroe, North Carolina.
As a Maintenance Technician you will:
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on plant equipment
- Control downtime by performing routine preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoots malfunctions to locate problems by observing mechanical/ electrical machinery and using precise measurements and testing instruments
- Perform equipment rebuilds as well as various repairs
- Ability to safely use a variety equipment including but not limited to drills, grinders, riveters, various saws, welders and hydraulic jacks
- Experience using shop equipment (mill, lathe, drill press, band saw, welder) to fabricate metal parts
- Install and/or repair machine guards and safety devices
- Understanding and adhering to all GMP, food safety and SQF procedures
This is a Full-Time, temp to hire opportunity.
The ideal Maintenance Technician candidate will have:
- 3-5 years of Maintenance and Electrical repair and diagnostic experience in a manufacturing environment
- 480v Electrical Experience
- Knowledge including but not limited to, testing, troubleshooting and servicing of electrical equipment including drives, PLC’s and their associated control networks
- Mechanical skills such as welding and working with hydraulics
- Experience reading pneumatic schematics as well as troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic circuits/devices
- Ability safely lift upwards of 40 pounds
- Ability to stand for 8 hours
- Ability to walk, stand, climb, kneel and crouch frequently
- Work in areas of fluctuating temperature and load noises
Pay Rate: $23-$25 an hour depending on experience.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
