Job Description
- Actively work to reduce maintenance repair and preventive maintenance costs
- Assist in developing plans to reduce breakdown related downtime.
- Maintain a safe work environment and report any unsafe conditions
- Keep all work areas clean and free of oil
- Properly complete and file all required building maintenance, associated support equipment repair documents.
- Effectively communicate with other departments and shifts
- Complete assigned repair and preventative maintenance activities on auxiliary and support equipment in a timely manner.
- Participates in continuous improvement process as required
- Participates in 8D problem solving as required
- Organization and cleaning of shop floor.
- Completion of required equipment repair and preventative maintenance. (PM’S).
- Performs all other assigned duties
- Must be Mechanically inclined
- Reading 7-9th grade and math 8th grade level.
- 1-3 years in plastic industry maintenance, including hydraulics and pneumatics
- Be Self-Motivated, Punctual and work well with others.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Must be forklift certified
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must have ability to supply own tools
- Lock out tag out
- Must have ability to use hands to lift, grab, grasp, pull, push and feel. The employee is frequently required to stop, kneel, twist, climb.
- Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs.
- Must have a good work ethic.
- High level of organization
- Perform basic cleaning tasks
- Knowledge of state and federal environmental OSHA laws preferred.
