Job Description
CSI Aerospace Inc, a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, a NYSE-traded company (NYSE: HEI) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician performs general preventative maintenance and corrective repair of equipment, buildings and grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Maintains grounds of facility performing tasks such as lawn maintenance and snow removal.
- Coordinate with vendors on work orders to repair facility or equipment when necessary
- Install and maintain production machines and the facility’s equipment.
- Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Drive to pick up supplies and equipment.
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational schooling in maintenance/repair preferred.
Work Experience:
- At least 2 years maintenance experience required
- HVAC certification preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift
Specialized Knowledge or Abilities:
- Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Excellent communication skills needed.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
- Reasoning Abilities: Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritize as necessary.
- Ability to work independently.
- The ability to work after-hours service calls and scheduled projects.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. The team member will frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Occasionally required to work in inclement weather.
Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test and evaluation.
Must be able to operate a fork lift, motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can vary based on the tasks.
Temperature exposure will vary based on the tasks. Inside/Outside work required.
