Summary

The Maintenance Technician possesses a wide skill set, encompassing multiple trades, such as electrician, carpenter, plumber, and inventory manager. They possess versatile interests and quickly troubleshoot new and existing equipment. Quick response to urgent maintenance needs of any kind is essential. Inspection of wiring, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment is necessary to ensure plant operations run smoothly.

Experience and Requirements:

• Basic plumbing knowledge, basic electrical wiring capabilities, and basic carpentry
• Preferable would be a certified Low Voltage Electrical individual. They need to able to wire and troubleshoot sensors, Photo Eyes, and contactors, along with knowledge of 110vac and 24 vdc control voltage
• Interpersonal skills to interact with all employees, contractors, and general public
• Attention to detail to ensure all jobs and tasks are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
• Stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on systems

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate 
• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths in time
• The employee is frequently required to sit, talk hear, walk and use hands to handle, feel and reach.
• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision.
• Must have a good sense of balance & good eye-hand-foot coordination
