Job description
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of unit turns, fulfilling work orders, and preventative maintenance. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings, common areas, and units in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities
- Survey buildings and repair as needed to be consistent with health and safety standards
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
- Fix/Change Locks
- Install/Repair window coverings
- Caulking
- Repair/Replace Drywall with a diameter of 6'' or less
- Inspect and Coordinate all make-ready repairs with Site Manager
- Remove, transfer, replace heavy appliances
- Assists in keeping grounds neat and free of litter
- Assist in unit inspections with the Site Manager
- Must have the ability to select appropriate materials needed for the property
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. maintaining the cleanliness of the property) and other tasks as assigned
- Must be aware of the condition of apartments and the overall property and immediately initiate action to correct unsafe conditions
- Maintain consistent work flow of maintenance building, including cleanliness and organization. Performs on-call emergency service as requested. All emergency after hours calls must be responded to immediately, and the service person on call must have the ability to arrive at the property no more than an hour after a call comes in.
- Completes all service requests within 24 hours, unless the request requires extraordinary parts or labor.
- Must possess all the required tools needed for the job.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
