Tower Maintenance Technician Missionary

We do need you at our global transmitter sites like Guam, the Caribbean or Africa. Please note: This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity), so you would develop a team of partners who provide financially for your full salary and benefits as a part of this role. We do provide training, resources, and coaching to help missionaries reach these financial support goals!

Role Summary:

Our Global Technical team is looking for a missionary to serve as a Tower Maintenance Technician to properly maintain antenna systems and other equipment needed to operate a radio broadcast transmitting site.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor condition of antenna and related systems for deterioration or other threats
• Instruct tower workers in safety and proper execution of the job
• Inspect all safety equipment and supplies/tools for each tower job
• Maintain inventory and assist with re-supply
• Work irregular hours when repairs are needed or night shifts

Desirable Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in engineering. Associate’s accepted, Bachelor’s preferred
• Knowledge of tower structures, support systems, standard rigging practices and metal structure maintenance
• Practical experience or knowledge in several of these areas: air conditioning, mechanical, auto/diesel, electrical, painting, roofing, and related areas

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
