- Monitor, maintain, and repair all boilers, pumps, compressors, filters, tanks and equipment found in the machine rooms.
- Maintain and repair all electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical systems and associated components.
- Maintain and repair all pasteurizing equipment.
- Maintain and repair all automated conveyors, case handling, filling and packaging equipment.
- Maintain and repair blow molding equipment.
- Maintain and repair all high- and low-pressure plumbing, piping, and vacuum systems.
- Fabricate and build necessary components as required.
- Troubleshoot to the component level any problems of the above-mentioned equipment, read electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Overtime will be required as needed.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a mechanic and troubleshooter desired.
- Five years of job-related experience in food or related industry desired.
- Able to pass welding and cutting test, including Heli arc.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and understand instructions.
- Ability to work with automated equipment.
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to regulatory procedures.
- Frequently work in confined spaces
- Ability to work required hours including weekend and night shift.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Occasionallylift upto 100 pounds.
- Ability to work from heights up to 35 feet.
- Frequent use of ladders and scaffolds.
- Frequent carrying, bending, walking, handling, reaching and stretching.
- Continuously work on concrete surface 8 to10 hours per day.
