Maintenance Technician - 3Rd Shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Provides prescribed repairs, upgrades, modification, etc. to company property including buildings, vehicles, equipment, or other items as requested.
• Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision.
• Must be able to follow directions and work in a fast paced, team environment
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred or related maintenance experience.
• Technical training and / or electrical system experience preferred.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Following established SOP's and Work Instructions.
• Must be able to perform, but not limited to the following operations necessary to support the manufacturing process; troubleshooting and replacement / repair of necessary parts.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Training Requirements:

• General and Departmental SOP's and work instructions.
• General and Departmental Safety.
• Lockout/Tag-out Training
• Electrostatic Discharge Awareness
• Forklift certification

Physical Demands:

• Physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Help in lifting heavy or awkward items.
• Regularly required to stand, bend, stoop, climb and reach.
• Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company policy.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• The use of Safety Glasses, hearing protection and steel-toed boots is required. Other protection may be prescribed for specific tasks such as gloves, fire retardant clothing, fall protection, etc.

Work Environment:

• Work performed in an air-conditioned shop environment.
• May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the shipping process.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Specialized Skills:

• Electrician Must have training and experience running electrical conduit and setting up electrical systems.
