Maintenance Technician- 1St Shift

What you'll do
In this position, you'll be an important part of our maintenance team and play a vital role in doing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical work, and fixing furnaces and other equipment that keep Solar Atmospheres' facility running.
Your schedule will be Monday-Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. We wish we could control when equipment breaks, but we can't, so occasional overtime may be needed as things come up. Under the support and guidance of the Maintenance Manager and team, you could expect the following responsibilities:

• Read and interpret electrical schematics
• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and modifications on all machines and equipment
• Troubleshoot, problem-solve, and repair equipment malfunctions
• Fabricate, organize, and stock spare parts
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times
• Assist with some light building maintenance and upkeep
• Other job duties as necessary

What you need to thrive in this role

• High School Diploma or (GED)
• Technical School degree, electrical certification, or relevant work experience
• General knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles, wiring, and troubleshooting circuits
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally, plus work in a standing position for most of the day
• Dependability and a willingness to learn
• Experience in pipe fitting, welding, and brazing a plus
