POSITION DEMANDS:
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Windows
- Basic math skills
- Basic reading and writing skills (English)
- Basic communication skills in English (Spanish is a Plus)
- Qualified to perform duties to troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to understand of single/three phase and control wiring.
- Ability to read schematic diagrams (Electrical and Mechanical).
- Ability to safely use a band saw, drill press, pipe threader and common power and hand tools safely.
- Ability to use tape measures and other measuring devices with either decimal and/or fraction scales.
- Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) requirements.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to complete and maintain certification for this position.
- Ability to set up and operate manual mill and lathe
- Basic fabrication skills
- Ability to effectively use drills and taps
- Forklift experience
- Ariel equipment experience is a plus (scissor lift, boom lift)
- Ability to perform MIG/TIG/STICK welding is a plus
- Available to work on all shifts as needed to ensure proper staffing requirements are met.
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor/manager
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide necessary support for the production whenever maintenance issues arise.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM's) on equipment.
- Perform necessary duties to complete assigned work orders.
- Complete paperwork/computer work as needed.
- General housekeeping duties of work areas.
- Participate in machine modifications.
- Support Engineering in data acquisition, machine upgrades and repairs.
