Maintenance Technician 1St And 2Nd Shift

POSITION DEMANDS:

• Computer skills required: Microsoft Windows
• Basic math skills
• Basic reading and writing skills (English)
• Basic communication skills in English (Spanish is a Plus)
• Qualified to perform duties to troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to understand of single/three phase and control wiring.
• Ability to read schematic diagrams (Electrical and Mechanical).
• Ability to safely use a band saw, drill press, pipe threader and common power and hand tools safely.
• Ability to use tape measures and other measuring devices with either decimal and/or fraction scales.
• Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) requirements.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to complete and maintain certification for this position.
• Ability to set up and operate manual mill and lathe
• Basic fabrication skills
• Ability to effectively use drills and taps
• Forklift experience
• Ariel equipment experience is a plus (scissor lift, boom lift)
• Ability to perform MIG/TIG/STICK welding is a plus
• Available to work on all shifts as needed to ensure proper staffing requirements are met.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor/manager

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide necessary support for the production whenever maintenance issues arise.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM's) on equipment.
• Perform necessary duties to complete assigned work orders.
• Complete paperwork/computer work as needed.
• General housekeeping duties of work areas.
• Participate in machine modifications.
• Support Engineering in data acquisition, machine upgrades and repairs.
