Salary: $59,280 – 78,000
Shift: 1st Shift Monday – Friday with some travel to Georgia or Tennessee. The schedule will change once production starts (12-hour shifts, 3 day work weeks)
REASON: Growth, greenfield development of a brand-new manufacturing plant
Desired Skills & Experience:
Must-Haves:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Development)
- Industrial Maintenance Certificate, Journeyman Card, or Associates Degree in related field
- 4+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience (preferred automotive, chemical, food, etc.); or 7+ years or more of Industrial Maintenance experience (preferred automotive, chemical, food, etc) will be considered without a certificate or degree
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 20 - 35 lbs.
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day.
Plusses:
- Experience in Industrial Maintenance with emphasis on electrical controls
- Intermediate knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, and vision controls
- Intermediate knowledge of Electrical Theory for AC/DC circuits, Motor Controls (VFD, Servo)
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical maintenance, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Day-to-Day:
Insight Global is currently seeking Maintenance Technicians for a direct hire opportunity supporting the creation of the brand-new manufacturing plant in Glendale, KY. The Maintenance Technician is a self-motivated individual who works with minimal direction. This role involves inspecting and adjusting equipment to ensure proper operation, logging test readings, and maintaining, repairing, or replacing essential equipment parts. The role includes:
- Reading blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams, and technical orders to determine assembly methods and sequences.
- Aligning, fitting, and assembling component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates, and operating metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, and fixtures.
- Repairing, reworking, and calibrating hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
- Preparing parts sketches, writing work orders, reviewing project instructions and specifications to identify, modify, and plan requirements for fabrication, assembly, and testing.
- Resolving system malfunctions, researching, evaluating, installing, operating, and maintaining mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements.
- Investigating equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations.
- Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of machines and equipment to ensure they are installed and functioning according to specifications.
- Strictly adhere to lock out tag out procedures, replaces or repairs machine belts, chains, or cables, removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines, and connects wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replaces switches and fuses, and splices wire and insulates wire with friction tape.
