Job Summary
Responsible for keeping the facility operating and overseeing the repairs/maintenance within the organization, such as, machinery, plumbing, heating, and wiring. In addition, Maintenance Tech will have knowledge and experience working on all systems at the Facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from Manager.
- Prioritizes workload and delegates/completes as needed.
- Knowledge of DNV requirements
- Assists in maintaining the buildings HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly.
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce risk of future problems.
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
- Conducting periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
- Daily rounds to include ensuring building and environment is compliant to standards.
- Knowledge of Generator systems and able to conduct Monthly tests.
- General knowledge of Boiler system and able to conduct daily blow down PM’s.
- Able to complete Weekly/Monthly safety checks on eye wash stations and Fire extinguishers.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Perform maintenance tasks based on pictures, blueprints, written descriptions and oral instructions.
- Knowledge of plumbing system and able to conduct repairs.
- Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
- Maintains and repairs buildings' plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses and overall aesthetics.
- Repairs or replaces building brick, stone, and concrete.
- Maintains and repairs wood parts of buildings.
- Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment such as truck, and riding mower.
- Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
- Must be able to use power tools, such as saws, drills, sanders, etc. in a safe manner.
- Must be able to familiarize self and understand proper operating procedures of various pieces of equipment such as, but not limited to, boilers, pumps, and related equipment.
- Must complete all mandatory hospital requirements, formally or informally, such as meetings, training, and safety.
- Must be able to work any and all work schedules as directed by the manager.
- Actively engage in quality improvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 month’s related experience
Preferred Requirements
- 2 years customer service experience
- HVAC Certificate
- 2 years electrical experience
Skills/Competencies
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate effectively amongst coworkers and management
Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting, carrying pushing, and pulling of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Continuous sitting, walking, and standing. Must be able to identify, match, and distinguish colors. Rare lifting of greater than 100 pounds.
