Maintenance-Team Member

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Janitor to join our Maintenace team. The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within our facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors, walls, and surfaces.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, and restock supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and break rooms.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues.
• Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly.
• Handle special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for events or meetings.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning equipment and supplies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work is advantageous.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate cleaning machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
• A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals and dust.
