Job Title: Maintenance Support Department: 90-Maintenance

Location: Bement, IL
Shift: 5am-1:30pm Mon-Fri
Job Summary:
This Maintenance Support position will require employees to perform various process upkeep activities, preventive equipment maintenance responsibilities, general facility upkeep, and complete projects/work orders as assigned. Tasks will support production operations, quality, cost and safety goals of the overarching manufacturing environment and facilities.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Handle and support various raw material requirements for production including adhesive, powder paint, oils, propane tank filling, etc..
- Perform cleaning and upkeep of areas that develop fugitive material accumulation. These include powder paint booths, glue tables, conveyorized transfer systems, etc..
- General repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, or systems.
- Assist during installation of newly purchased, refurbished, or relocated equipment.
- Repair and maintain various utility and support systems.
- Operate from schedules and work orders submitted to the department and assigned by the Maintenance Manager / MRO group.
- Operate within the CMMS system to document work performed by written/electronic methods.
- Detect and report faulty operation of equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions through Maintenance Manager.
- Use critical thinking and trouble shooting skills to solve problems.
- Use basic hand tools, metal working tools and various power tools as needed.
- Operate forklifts and manlifts when necessary for assigned tasks.
- Assist with removal of waste materials during scheduled pickup through MRO activities.
- Maintain work area, hand tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Observe prescribed safety regulations and other standards of operation and conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Skills:
- Technical Degree or Certificates in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent
- 2-years previous Industrial Maintenance experience and training
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to enter or retrieve information from CMMS system, basic skill and knowledge of MS Office a plus.
- Motivated and able to work independently while using good judgment.
