Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to become a part of our team! You will oversee and perform necessary work to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and structure of an establishment in repair. This position is being added to lead a team of savvy professional managers and mechanics and other maintenance team members to fuel continued company growth! You will lead the effort to ensure maximum uptime for production equipment in a cost effective manner and meet capital improvement cost and timeline objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Repair major and minor issues with equipment and buildings
- Ensure Facility is a safe working environment
- Manage the completion of maintenance and repair schedules and work orders, in a timely fashion
- Manage the order and replacement broken parts or equipment
- Maintain a clean and a safe work space
- Develop Maintenance Schedules for the facility
- Manage the Maintenance Repair and Operations Inventory and Purchasing processes
- Manage cross functional loss reduction teams
- Develop and oversee autonomous maintenance teams
- Ensure facility complies with relevant legislative and EH&S standards
- Foster a work culture that values constant improvement and productivity
- Manage the financial aspects of maintenance
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications/Work Experience:
- Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
- Experience in a food production facility
- Familiarity with hand-held tools and industrial equipment in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience in maintaining, installing and repairing industrial equipment
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Team Leadership experience
- Experience developing maintenance schedules and managing budgets
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong working knowledge of computerized maintenance systems
Education:
Ideally a Maintenance Supervisor should have a qualifications in engineering and formal training in a mechanical or electrical trades apprenticeship/vocational training program. They should also have a qualification relating to the food industry. Food sciences or Business Administration background also attractive.
Salary range is described below but is open for extraordinary candidates. Bonus is also offered in addition to base salary on team metrics. Company is interviewing and hiring immediately near O"Hare.
