POSITION SUMMARY:
Supervises operations maintenance colleagues to ensure the most efficient use of technical resources. Executes maintenance work to ensure compliance and optimize machine and process availability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to:
Front line supervision of maintenance colleagues, which includes performing job evaluations, scheduling resources, coaching and guiding, providing appropriate and consistent discipline and recognition.
Maintains the reliability and availability of processes and equipment through preventive and reactive maintenance. Plans maintenance to reduce the amount of unscheduled jobs and optimize availability. Challenges and modifies maintenance procedures to improve safety and quality and increase process availability.
Ensures a safe work environment for all colleagues and makes sure the maintenance department adheres to EPC policies and procedures and meets all regulatory and industry standards.
Ensures that the maintenance organization is fully staffed and prepared for current and future needs through training and development.
Monitors maintenance spending, investigates financial variances and implements corrective actions to provide the highest value to the organization.
Ensures an adequate inventory of spare parts and tools. Oversees any repair and rebuild activity.
Analyze maintenance and production data to develop, modify and execute appropriate maintenance plans.
Oversee the utilization and advancement of the CMMS systems. Utilize analytics to drive engineering support.
Communicate crucial maintenance information to the organization so that appropriate production adjustments can be made. Ensure the maintenance organization works to established plant production priorities.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide 24 hour support as part of the Incident Command team.
Facilitate and participate in Root Cause Analysis as necessary.
Participate in educational and knowledge sharing opportunities to advance maintenance within EPC.
Any additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related fields preferred or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5+ years of direct experience in maintenance, preferably in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Maintenance supervisory experience within an industrial, institutional or commercial organization is preferred.
Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, and working knowledge of production data systems. Familiarity with CMMS or EMS system is preferred.
Past successful manufacturing experience that displays very good technical comprehension combined with highly competent mechanical and/or electrical skills and abilities.
Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Take necessary actions to correct or stop any unsafe conditions or practices.
Actively participate in safety meetings and training.
Review Material Data Sheet instructions before working with any chemical product.
QUALITY ASSURANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Colleagues are responsible for their own quality and that of colleagues within their span of control.
Colleagues are responsible to follow all established Quality procedures and instructions.
Notify supervision for corrective action if and when defects are found and/or parts/processes do not conform to specifications.
